Saturday 8 June 2013. Swineshead, Bicker Bar Bicker. A rest day

We awoke this morning to a very overcast, cold and breezy day which was OK because we had decided to have a rest day.

Our hotel, called the  Supreme Hotel  (like a Travelodge), was very comfortable and had a nice flat screen TV so we decided  to watch the French Women’s Singles tennis final being played at Roland Garros, followed by the the Formula 1 practice and qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix.

As the above was in the afternoon and there was a service station next to our hotel with a self serve high pressure cleaner, we took the opportunity to clean the car. It only cost £2 for the use of a high pressure cleaner so Lyn did the high pressure spraying whilst Mick did the brushing.

We had to clean the car because at the last B&B, we had to park under a tree which shed a lot of sap and leaves and after four days it ended up in a sticky mess and Lyn was moaning about it. Luckily it wasn’t gum sap and it did wash off without too much difficulty.

Mick also took a picture of a bird which he thinks is a Gold Finch as it sang beautifully.
Some people keep Gold Finches in cages because of their lovely singing.

Car Lovers in a box. Program 1 costs £2, program 2 costs £3 etc and it switches automatically between the Shampoo, brush and wash so you have to be ready

1 comment:

  1. could be Gold Finch as the colour is similar and Finches have a distinct beak
