Another fine and sunny morning and we were off to our next stop, Norwich, the county town on the River Wensum in the county of Norfolk.
Since we had plenty of time we decided to detour through Lavenham and Thetford as someone had told us that Lavenham was a cute place to visit and there were masses of deer in Thetford Forest.
Lavenham was indeed a lovely village with a huge church and many Tudor Style houses, many of which looked like they were leaning over. This is very common in these villages as they were built a few years ago to put it mildly!
After taking a picture of the lovely unfortunately named pub, we headed off to Thetford.
When we got near to Thetford we saw quite a few signs with pictures of Deer on them. A bit like Australia only ours have Kangaroos on them!
Anyway we asked a local about the Deer and he said there were heaps of them in the forest which was enormous. He directed us to a lovely area in the forest but after we spent some time looking we didn't see any.
As it was such a lovely day we sat down on a lovely grassed area in the brilliant sunshine and had a cuppa before we headed off to Norwich.
Below are some pictures of and around our B & B in Norwich.

Plenty of power to clean - The Dacia Duster. They are very cheap.

ReplyDeleteThis is weird, the web site wanted to know who I was but already knew my email address from Google so why ask me who I am???
ReplyDeleteEvery time I make a comment I have to decrypt 2 stupid looking words to prove I am not a robot. All is ok in Adelaide/Salisbury but its cool around 15C which is normal for the start of winter.
ReplyDeleteI will get to know and recognize all the English birds by the end of your trip...
